PostSubject: More Mods/Admins/active admins?   Sat Feb 25, 2012 2:58 am

So. I get everyone here has a life. That being said I feel (and I'm certain I am not alone) that the site is missing something. The Administrators. I don't mean to sound rude guys, but Erika and Izaya... you guys are almost never here. Izaya is in a poor spot especially with that canon driving so much of the action for other canons, and there isn't much to be done without him. I know my own canon is essentially useless without Izaya.

I think we need more Admins and Mods. The Mods I see all the time, but I have seen Izaya online exactly once and I know there were a few weeks where Izaya was not on at all. It's problematic to have a main canon so absent, but it's also a problem to have so few Admins.

I think four Admins would be fair(two more) and that more Mods are needed because the Mods now here can't possibly manage as the site grows. I think we should have at least four more of those...

I also would like to nominate Psyche for the position of an admin, she's by and large the mod I've seen actually moderating/accepting characters.

We need some direction though, or the site will die. I don't want that, I like it here, but... we need our admins. We need them on, and we need them active. I am sorry if this upsets anyone(You admins included) But Izaya has been on hardly ever and such an important canon... again, I get you have lives and they can't revolve around a website but as the only administrators for the site you really ought to take the responsibilities you gave yourselves.

As a long standing member invited here by the admins, I second this motion.
I would like to see that the rules of supply and demand be followed with the group growing by the day. With more people comes more chaos, we must keep the pleasantries we have had thus far with experienced mods and another admin.

I stand here to say that I agree with the above statements and feel steps need to be taken to make sure this site is operating at its best. The members are ready and willing, we just need to be met half way.

I fourth this.

The admins need to take more responsibility and be on to listen to us and address issues, like very important canons never being on. You're an admin, you need to carry out your duties as one.

I fifth this motion and agree with the above users.

The only way to have a site flourish is if the people in charge of it become more active and take into account the suggestions of its members. The admins are busy yes, but I feel as the leaders of this site you should take better responsibility of it.

Being more active, doing your duties as admins like applications and accepting more members, even participating in RP's more.

These things would make the site run more smoothly. I also agree with the mod issue. More mods, preferably with prior experience would be a great addition to improving the site.

I sixth the motion

This site is so much fun and I'd really like to see it prosper! I agree that psyche would be a great admin because she's helped me a lot on this site! She deserves it and I really hope the current administrators will come to see these suggestions! I really want this site to stay~ I'd like the admins to be on more, I mean I get stuff happens that we can't be on all the time but id like if they were on at least every few days. And i wouldnt mind helping out with the site if i am needed! we got a few new members over the past couple of days and i've been PMing them and helping them~ Like i said if you guys need me i dont mind helping ^-^ Thank you!

I completely support this!
I have seen shootings, fights, angst, fluff, and have had all sorts of rps with the others, but it's obvious that without the catalyst that is Izaya, we're just burnt bread.
I've seen the admins once! That was the first night I joined. Otherwise, I haven't rp'd, seen them in the chatbox, or anything. I've seen every one of our mods at least nine thousand times (I even shot Psyche in an rp. XD).
I still don't fully get this site either. I guess that's partially my fault for not asking, but I think new people need more help then we're getting.
So anyone reading this, I would very much like to know how to:
A) Create Shiki's art gallery (in the forums for rp purposes)
B) POST in the forums
C) change the colors and things
*Forgive my English, it slowly improving*

I also think this is a good idea. There are many opinions and suggestions I've heard in the chatbox that we can't begin to discuss because the admins aren't on as often. With four admins running the site, and a few more mods (maybe 4 as well?) would be a great idea to help run the site more smoothly.

I'm flattered to see that others would want me to be an admin, but that's ultimately to what Erika and Izaya think. I'm fine with either. I also have thought about it and know who I would suggest to become a mod in my place, and maybe a mod and an admin. So if this were to happen, I would plan on sending Erika and Izaya the list of names that I think would be best, and why.

It's important that all our voices are heard, and that there is someone to hear them. It's crucial for a well organized and active forum. More admins and mods to hear the members suggestions, complaints, or questions would be a fantastic way to make the site more efficient.

Yes, so let me address this in steps:

1. Izaya and I, and our lacking of role-playing - I apologize for this, and I'm extremely sorry. We really got caught up with different things and Izaya was using their iPhone, not a computer (a problem that is now fixed) and I was working on a multitude of different projects, and this past week and a half, we were thrown the curve ball of our school closing, but we are trying to cope with that and with the rest of the things in our lives, but I promise we'll be logging in more often. If anything, PM us the topics you'd like us/need us to role-play in. That would really make it a lot easier for us than to have to pin point which topics we're need in.

2. More staffing - There will be two new staff members and one Mod will be moved up to an Admin position. All of your nominations and requests are being heard and taken into consideration also, and system to implement all of this is being made.

These conclusions were made inside the chatbox, but I am posting it here for those who weren't present. Also, Izaya and I are asking for two weeks to turn this place back to an= better and more organized forum, and we apologize for not being on in the last couple of days, and I'm sorry we left without any prior notes or without telling anybody. We realize that it was wrong, and we are extremely and sincerely sorry. We promise to be on more often and restore this place back to normal.
