Subject: Looking to cure bordom Fri Dec 30, 2011 1:14 am

Fate sighed as she sat down on one of the benches. Really? The world was getting way to boring. That one informant broker, Orihara something has been playing with her toys. Fate sighed again.

"I've been so so so bored lately. It's hard to play with toys when IzaIza gets to them first. Sometimes I wish I made friends, but then again, that wouldn't be very smart. All anyone does is just hold you back. It could turn dangerous."

Fate didn't care that she was talking to herself. Sure, she knew that it could be a bad thing, but, it helped her with her boredom. Really, she was only hanging around the park in the hopes that someone would appear and chat with her.

It was a wonderful day for Tohane to sketch the wonderful wings of the passing birds. The trees are full and the scent of the world is fresh and not dusty.

The girl was in the branches of a tree, draping her satchel over the branch that was above her, even though it was a bit lost and it was about to fall....and it did.

"Opps, watch out below!" Tohane shouted, as the heavy bag dropped down and probably would have landed on the person who was sitting on the bench under the tree.....as long as they react fast enough and dodge.

Fate looked up as she heard someone speak and instantly noticed the falling bag. She grinned as it approached, moving to the side just in time. She grinned as the bag hit the ground with an audible thump!

"Oi! You should be careful. What would have happened had I been deaf? That bag woul have hit me square on the head and likely injured me, if not killed me from the force."

Fate sighed again as she picked up the bag. "What were you doing anyway? And get over here. Its not very fun yelling at someone who isn't in front of me."

"Ah, but you aren't deaf, and that makes all the difference." Tohane smiled, backflipped out of the tree, and landed directly in front of the girl.

"Thank you for my bag." Tohane started reaching for her satchel, but then quickly stopped. "Oi....." She quickly leaned back, her hand stretched, and a baby bird who was trying to get a head start on flying and failed went plummeling into her open palm. "Ah you silly, wait till your wings are fully fleged." Tohane muttered, nodded over to the girl and said, "Wait a second." Tohane hobbled herself up the tree again and replaced the bird and went back down.

"Now for my bag..."

Fate grinned as she held the bad out of the girl's reach. "Nuh-uh. For one, this bag could have killed me. Too, you never answered me about what you were doing. Besides, it's rude to almost injure someone and then not even introduce yourself."

Fate grinned again, wondering if this little 'toy' would be fun to play with. "And before you ask, I'm Fate. I'd say it's nice to meet you, but I don't know if it was or not."

"Ah...well then. My name is Konotori Tohane, or just Tohane. I was doing my usual thing with drawing birds up in that tree. However, my bag was a bit too weighty for the branches and gravity took hold." Tohane shrugged, being the good natured person she was, went along with Fate.

"And I didn't expect people wanting to talk to me much anyways. I spend more time with nature than with people anyways." Tohane shrugged and glanced over at the tree with the little birds in it. "Well those little things are quite cute."

"Hmm. Birds are cute? I guess some people would say that. I don't really pay attention to them. Let's see, you said your name was Konotori Tohane. That means that I'll call you... Toto."

Fate grinned as she walked forward, still holding onto Tohane's bag. "And I don't see why people don't talk to you. It seems interesting." Fate spun around, tossing the bag back towards it's owner. "Catch."

Mira frowned and stumbled a little as he tried to hold up pants that were too big for him. They weren't in the best condition either but they were necessary to hide one of his two highly distinctive features. The other was hidden with a large hat, though it also affected his hearing which was more muffled because of it. His tail was pressed uncomfortably against his leg too and he sighed as he held the baggy pants in place with one hand now to stop them slipping off all together. Unfortunately he was so focused on keeping his pants up that he didn't notice much else around him and he bumped into a blonde chick. Normally he would have found it a perfect opportunity to pick her pockets too but his spare hand had rushed up to keep the hat in place so it wasn't knocked off. After all it would be bad if it was. He didn't want everyone in the park seeing something that wasn't supposed to exist and by rights...shouldn't.

"Oops...S-sorry!" He stammared at the woman. He gulped a little hoping the woman wouldn't hurt him. The other girl he only noticed now that he bothered to look.

Fate spun around, annoyed that someone had run into her. "I was talking with Toto here." She watched the man, observing him before turning back to the person she was talking with, uninterested... at the moment.

He let his hand fall too soon however as a rather sudden gust of wind blew the hat right off his head. Two triangular cat ears stood up from his messy black hair though he flattened them suddenly when the wind took the hat away. Oh damn! He was in trouble now. Sure the soft fuzz that covered his ears was black but they were still visible against his hair...the fact that he had no 'human' ears to speak of didn't help any either.

Fate suddenly spun around, now determined to ignore the girl she was talking with before in favor of the man. Her eyes widened slightly in surpise when she noticed the ears above his head before her lips curled into a smirk.

"Hi! My name is Fate. You are?"

"Um..." He gulped lightly before catching the hat...he just wished he didn't to it so...so cat like! He eye'd the woman suspiciously before the teen pulled his hat firmly down over his ears hiding the anomoly as quickly as he could. Damn, why did someone have to see? He was going to end up in the labs again for sure, he just knew it. Oh well, maybe he could scam some money off this odd woman...if not her then the one watching the birds for sure...she seemed clueless enough.

"Mira," He said with a nervous smile. He just knew the 'fur' on his tail was standing out to make it look four times it's usual size. Thank goodness for the huge pants! ...Though they were a pain to keep tugging up again...he needed to steal a belt, and soon....and maybe some shrimp.

"Ah, Mira. I thinks its nice to meet you. Why don't we go walk around some and talk?" Fate already had an idea in her head. This man would be very interesting indeed.

He frowned a little at the prospect.
"I'm not so sure that's a good idea..." He mumbled low under his breath but finally sighed, "Fine, but you buy me something to eat!" He declared. He was hungry. He was so hungry!

Fate grinned. "Alright. Go sit on a bench and wait. I'll be back shortly with sushi or something." Fate left out the part about how she had no money. Frankly, it didn't matter to her.

About half an hour later, Fate returned with a bag of sushi. "Here ya go." She said as she tossed the bag towards Mira.

Mira caught it and if his hat were not firmly in place Fate would have seen his ears twitching in excitment. He could smell it and he LOVED seafood. He wasn't sure if he would were he entirely human but the experiments he was involved in had been eighteen years in the making when he had escaped. There were others like him, though not all were 'cats'.

"Thanks~!" He said happily, immediately digging in and he savoured each bite like it were his last, his red eyes positively shining in delight.

Fate grinned. "No problem. Now, I wanna ask you a question. What exactly are you?" Her eyes shined with excitement.

He gulped a little. Oh yeah, she must have seen his ears. He smiled back innocently now.
"Whatever do you mean?" He asked, already flattening his ears against his head to make them as unnoticable as possible.

Tohane quickly grabbed her bag, and waved an odd gesture for farwell. "See yah next time Fate." She left before seeing the other person.

Fate shrugged off Tohane. "Ya ya."
Her eyes seemed to sparkle as she observed the male. "I mean this." She replied as she ripped the hat from his head and plopped one of her hands on top of his head.

He gulped, his ears flattening to the point he was almost deaf.
"Give me my hat please..." He mumbled as the other girl left. Damn it..well, one less witness to this might be good right? Right...one less person to report an escaped experiment...

Fate grinned as she laughed. "What do ya think I'll do? Report you?" She cackled. "Please. This is way to interesting to just give up! So, do tell. What are you?"

He frowned, but he supposed she was probably telling the truth...she seemed that type anyways so he finished chewing the piece of sushi in his mouth and swallowed.
"Have you heard of Yagiri Pharmaceuticals?" He asked, deciding to start there.

"Well, there are rumors about...human experiments. I suppose I would qualify as that...though they say they were kidnapping people, I was born there. They modified my DNA so that I'm... I dunno, like half cat or something?" He explained as he popped another piece into his mouth and chewed slowly, watching fate carefully for her reaction.
