Darren ambled along the crowded street casually, weaving between the troning city masses with practiced ease, the yo-yo in his hand bobing up and down as easily as if it was part of his own body.

His blue eyes wandered the street aimlessly as he walked, and he hummed the tune to some long forgotten song. he had no idea where he was going, but he didnt really care. getting hopelessly lost in big cites was just another wondeful part of life's adventure.

besides, mybe he'd get lucky and find an art supply store around here, he could use a few more sketchbooks, and some new watercolors certainly wouldnt hurt.

The redhead smiled at th thought of new materials and found himself humming slightly louder and a spring coming to his step.

Akira's earphones were blasting music into his ears as he walked past countless of people on the streets. All he wanted to do was to spend his free time he had now. As he walked on, he was bombarded with various gushes of the girls he passed by on the street, stating just how good looking he was and such. How annoying. All he wanted was to just go on for a simple walk during his free time. However, he was always being watched from a far, by his family. Including Gerard. His sudden thoughts on Gerard popped into his mind instantly, most stating just how unbelievably cruel and evil he was. Though, he was only his half-brother, since they shared the same mother. The only difference was their hair color and their hair style. He has more straighter hair and was raven black in color. Gerard's? Blond and spiky [and unbelievably soft as well]. The sole incident that had permanently marked them as enemies was the day Gerard almost killed him. The incident was quite recent. It had just happened last year, the month before moving out and enrolling into Raira Academy. But for now, he had agreed to become the next inheritor just in case something happened to Gerard. Hopefully something would happen to him soon. All this due to Gerard's health problems. Seems that his family cared for Gerard more than him. Oh well, that's what you get for being the second and step child of the family. Again, it was a total annoyance. All he wanted was to just get a simple life. Was it all too hard to ask for? Akira thought hard again. There was one time where they said he was 'bad luck' due to his mother passing away after giving birth to him. He sighed, his life was indeed complicated. Very complicated.

Darren stopped short when he heard girls squealing nearby. his head turned to the source of the sound, the red, spade shaped earing on his ear tinkling as he did so. his blue eyes focused on the dark haired teen that was attracting so much attention.

hmmmm, hoards of girls fawning over a darkhaired teenage boy, that was a nostalgic image. before Darren knew it he had fallen into step just behind the younger male, head tilted to the side and yo-yo still bobbing faithfully from his hand, staring at the dark haired teen.

Akira was just about to turn and head back to his condominium when he suddenly bumped into this man behind him. "Eh...I apologize for the little bump." was all he said as he looked at the other person. A male, looking quite young, bobbing a yo-yo up and down. Akira suddenly realized the other male was looking at him with this curious expression on his face. "Well, better start explaining." he thought as he opened his mouth to speak up.

"I guess you've heard those crazy girls squealing. Real annoying of em' nowadays. All I wanted these days is for them to shut up. Anyway...My name is Akira Yukito. Call me Akira." said Akira as he shoved his hands into his pants pocket. Things were finally entertaining him. He wondered why was this guy looking at him with that expression. He decided to stare at him back, with his greenish blue eyes. Akira had a feeling that this person in front of him was indeed older. He kept silent and waited for the other to answer.

Darren's curious expression morphed into a nonchalant smile, and he held out his non-yoyo occupied hand in an offer for a handshake.

"Darren Flanegan," he introduced himself, "Sorry if i creeped you out or something, but seeing all those girls fawning over you reminded me of... someone i used to know..." he paused, struggling to keep his smile on his face. god damnit why did he do this to himself.
