| (First part POV) My father told me, that I was like the water…fragile and moving….always moving without place. He said that I was strong like the river, even when I came to an end…like water I would carve myself a new path. I was not restrained by the laws of life. Instead I could give it, and take it away… but my heart is endless, a love so deep a man could swim to the bottom of ocean and still never find the end to my love. I am an anomaly, someone who has glanced both sides of the same coin…with the body of an immortal, and the heart of a human. I eagerly search for a place to belong, a place to be…and I hear a distant calling in the earth…telling me where to go. It’s brought me here to this city; the human’s call it Ikebukuro. It’s strange…there’s a sensation here that draws me in, makes me want to forget who I am…the gravity of my existence. I want to know about this place….I want to find who is calling to me not with their words…but with their hearts.(Normal POV) The sun was warm; it made her feel good as she sat at the fountain in the park the ends of her hair in the water and connecting to it. She felt at peace. Opening her eyes she glanced around the park…it was fairly empty save for a select few people wandering through. She noticed a few curious glances her way but paid them no mind. She was so used to them that she didn’t mind them. She then felt a pull at her heart and she raised her hand to touch the place over her heart, “...I can hear you” she whispered in response to the pull. It was the object that had pulled her to this place in the beginning…Though it wasn’t always here in Ikebukuro she could almost always feel it’s emotions, rushes of excitement, or fear, The sensation of escaping an almost in escapable fate. Sitting up a little straighter Yukirin pulled her hair from the fountain ringing it out the strands drying almost instantly. She wanted to find this person today. | |

| Tsuzuki sighed as he entered the park, his whole body aching. If it wasn't one thing it was another and he groaned as he sat on a bench, eye's closing. He was so tired his 'switch' couldn't be kept on but when he wasn't controlling it he could feel only a few meters in every direction. it was still irritation, but the park wasn't packed so only a few would wander into the radius to spread their emotions to him as though he were a sponge. After years of practice he had learned to differenciate between his own emotions and the emotions of those around him.
He loosened the tie he wore, happy he hadn't had to wear a uniform, but then he was in homicide. When there were no cases -or the chief of police was mad at him which was more often the case- he had to wear one and work petty crime but they did need his abilities for interrigation a lot too. It wouldn't hold in court, but it was enough to know if they had the right man, keeping thier wrongful convictions rate at an all-time low. On the downside if they couldn't convict they knew for a fact that someone was getting away with what they had done.
"Mmn..." He just wanted today to end, but it was early afternoon and though he was done work he didn't want to go home just yet either. The sun felt good right where he was. | |
