Poetry? Oh dear~ Now I have to post here!

Not all of it will follow a rhyme scheme, in fact most of it won't. Here's one I wrote more recently.

Winter
Snow dances gently through the air,
Untouched, unspoiled and without care,
It drifts up high, so cold and thick,
Too long outside will make one sick,
And while the weather is cold and dreary,
All inside is warm are warm and cheery.
A fire in the grate will keep,
Winters chill away as we sleep.

I wrote this for a friend recently... she passed away when we were sixteen and the anniversary is coming up again but I wound up writing a poem again for her

I Remember You

I sometimes wonder
Who you would be
What you’d have become
Had you lived.

I wonder if you’d be the angel I knew
If you would remember me
Because I remember you

I wonder if you would say hi to me
If I saw you on the street
If you walked into where I worked

I remember you
Exactly how you were that day
Peaceful sleep or so it seemed
Eternal rest

I remember how your other friends were
Your parents, your sisters
I remember how sad everyone was to see you go

I wish you were still with us
You did nothing to deserve to go
But I guess I will know one day
When I eventually join you

I hope you rest in peace
I hope you know no sorrow
I hope you remember me because

I remember you
