I was a robot created by a scientist
I was programmed for him to assist
He told me the most important thing
Was a heart

As I watch a hundred years pass
All I see is that scientist working in his lab
I’ve always wanted to know why
Why did he brought me to this world
But I never knew till the day he died

After the day of his death
I entered his lab and saw why was I programmed
There on his desk was a picture of his friend
But again, I don’t understand
So I installed a developing programme

When I began to see the data he had
I began to shake so bad
The tears began to flow
As my headphones began to glow
As I watched what I received
Were his friend’s memories

There was one that concerns his death
I began to finally understand
That living in this world
Could be a misery

I began to wish that I can
Thank my friend
For giving me life to live in this world
With this heart
That I have happily achieved

However I felt myself
Slowly losing all that I had been programmed
As I lay, short circuited
I can’t help but smile with relief
I can finally see my friend
And thank him with my heart
