It was about midday as a redheaded teen finally stirred awake. She yawned and stretched out of her curled sleeping position, flexing her extremities as she got out of bed. She padded over to her closet and pulled out a fresh batch of clothes; red tank top, a long sleeved back shirt that sat on her shoulders, a ruffled orange skirt, and some black leggings. She fixed her longer strands of hair into a neat braid and tied it with a small pink ribbon, resting at full length beside her hips. With a determined smile, she headed downstairs and pulled on a furry white pair of boots, making sure to slip her short katana inside the right one. Once she was completely ready, she pulled a black hoodie over her head to battle the cold weather and made her way outside.

This was a typical morning for Kuraikara Nemon. She rarely went to school and didn't give a shit about following rules. She'd much rather spend the week on her own time. As she continued her stroll, she was stopped by the sudden growling of her stomach. With an aggravated grumble, she remembered she'd forgotten to eat anything before she left the apartment. She hugged her stomach as she marched on. She knew just where to go. Russia Sushi. It had been awhile since she'd last eaten there and she rather missed the nice chats she used to have with Simon, being one of the people who truly enjoyed his company. In addition, he didn't force her back to school like many places did, so it was one of the few places she could relax without getting scolded. When she arrived at the restaurant, she cheerfully opened the door and bounded inside, greeting the man with a smile and a wave.

"Simon-san!! It's been a long time!! Do you have any open tables?"

Her emerald eyes gleamed excitedly, full of that wild aura she always seemed to give off. In many ways, when she clasped her hands together over her heart and widened her eyes in a pleading manner, like she was doing, she looked even more canine than she cared to admit. Not many knew the truth about the canine blood abilities she inherited from her mother, but she didn't seem to mind Simon figuring it out. She trusted him.

"Ah Nemon, so glad you come here! We have open table in back, I have new worker Nire take you there."

The russian said, smiling a large smile at the other.

Nire looked over at the sound of his name and quickly went over to the two. He was wearing one of the Russia Sushi uniforms including a pair of knee high black boots, a belt that really wasnt a belt at all but his neko tail, and a wool knitted hat to cover his neko ears.

"Welcome, I am Nire and I will be your server, we have one small table in the back but If thats to isolated there is a another larger table open. There is only one young boy there if you dont mind sitting with him. We're pretty packed today so i do apoligies for not being able to get you your own larger table." Nire said bowing politely.

Nemon smiled happily to the new employee, bowing in return. There was something about him... She couldn't quite put her finger on it.. But she sensed an odd similarity with him.. Surely he couldn't share her bloodline? Could he..?

"It's nice to meet you Nire! And that's fine~ I don't mind sitting in the back, or with someone new!"

She grinned and followed him along with a free-spirited swing in her step.

Nire lead the girl to a large table in the middle of the resturant, there sat a young boy looking about in his teens. He had a large insane looking but sweet smile on his face as he rested his cheek on his hand and stared out the window. He was eating something that looked like sushi but not filled with fish...it looked like some kind of fruit actually.

"Alois, do you mind if this young lady sits with you? We're a little packed at the moment and we need the room." Nire asked politely, smiling at the small male who was also a close friend of his. Alois turned his head as his insane looking smile grew wider.

"I dont mind at all, i could use some company." Alois said, staring at the two with huge glowing red eyes that almost looked to big for his head.

Nemon observed the boy at the table curiously. He certainly didn't look like a normal kid... This brought a grin to the girl's face. She liked people who were different, she didn't feel so awkward around them. She took a seat directly across from him and leaned her elbows upon the table, resting her chin on her hands.

"Great~ It's nice to meet you, Alois! I'm Kuraikara Nemon."

She studied the sushi-like food he was eating, emerald eyes making a connection with his as she spoke.

"What is that you're eating? I've never seen sushi like that before..."

"It's nice to meet you too, this sushi is strawberry sushi. Simon made it special for me." The albino child said happily as he took another bite of the strange food.

Nire smiled before taking out a small notepad and pen to write down the girls order. "So what can I get for you?" The neko asked, smiling a toothy grin.

Strawberry sushi..?

Nemon knew the food at Russia Sushi wasn't always your typical menu...but this was something else. She chuckled to herself as she returned her attention to Nire. She shot him a playful wink and an ambitious grin, unknowingly showing off the small but sharp canine fangs she possessed.

"Surprise me~" Her emerald eyes glittered with excitement. "I'll take anything Simon has in mind. That makes everything more exciting, don't you think? Not knowing what's coming your way..."

Nire smiled and bowed to the two before going off to give the order to Simon, knowing the Russian he would probably give the girl more then one of everything so she could see what she really liked.

"So, tell me about yourself." Alois said, wanting to start up a conversation with the other person that had sat infront of him. His twisted smile never left his face as he took another bite of his special strawberry sushi. He loved observing people but since this one had come to him it wouldnt be to hard to figure things out about her.

"Heh...Alright. What kind of things do ya wanna hear?"

Nemon grinned the boy's request. She didn't tell others her story often... It was kind of nice to have someone interested for once. Sure, she'd had some sad moments, but since all the pain, things were getting pretty exciting. Maybe there was something special about this kid too! Normal people bored her so much~ She bet anything he was going to spark her interest.

"My life's been pretty crazy, but I'm willing to share my story if ya want."

"Here you are, fresh sushi. Only the best for customers." Simon said with a large smile spread across his face as he placed multiple plates of sushi infront of the girl and another large plate of strawberry sushi infront of Alois.

"Thanks Simon, yummy as always." Alois said as he immeditalty brought the plate of strawberry sushi infront of him and started shoveing the pieces in his mouth. Simon bowed as he took the emplty plate away.

"Now then..." Alois said as he turned his attention back to the girl infront of him. "Like everyone else i have met you probably have some sob story to tell me dont you? Maybe kidnapped and had exspirements done on you? Taken by some pervert that did...let's say naughty things to you? Parents abuse you or throw you in some ditch for you to die in? I've heard then all, although I would like to hear yours. Maybe if your lucky i'll tell you my sob story, if you want to hear it."

Nire looked over from the table he was putting sushi on and sighed. "Alois please dont scare the poor girl." Nire said as he walked over to the table and placed a hand on the boys head. He bent down and whispered something into his ear. The albino just grined as he took another bite of his sushi.

"Sorry, I get a little..off when I dont have my medicine." Alois said taking a look at the silver watch on his wrist. "I should probably take some in a few hours, considering how my mind is going deep again." Alois said as he looked back up at the girl. "I'd like to know everything you are willing to tell me, and dont worry I'm not some creepy informant looking for information out of you just to torture you. I like learning about people, knowledge is kind of a passion of mine." Alois said, smiling politely at the other.

"Thank you Simon!"

Nemon flashed the Russian a bright smile before experimenting with some of the sushi. She found her random choices rather enjoyable and popped a piece in her mouth, listening to Alois speak. As much as she didn't want to admit it, the boy was right; she did have quite an unfortunate tale. But it wasn't one that brought much emotion to her after nearly two years....

She giggled and flashed a grin at Nire.

"Don't worry~ I'm not scared so easily!"

She returned her gaze to Alois.

"It's alright. But like I said, I don't mind tellin' ya my story, or hearin' yours. I'm actually kinda intrigued..." She smirked. "But I can only tell ya if ya promise to keep my secret, Mr. Non-Informant~ I could be in danger if ya don't, ya know."

Alois pushed the empty plate of sushi aside for Nire to take away, he flashed a toothy smile at the other. His glowing red eyes wide with interest.
"Same goes for you, I could be in a lot of trouble of you tell anyone what happened to me. And I really dont feel like being hunted like an animal. So, why dont you tell me your story. I'm always up for some interesting information." Alois said sitting back against the seat with his snow white hair hanging infront of his eyes.

This brought a grin to the girl's face, emerald eyes glistening. She pulled her feet up onto her chair, seated indian style as she began.

"Well then, your secret's safe with me! Now, onto my story..."

Nemon shut her eyes as she began, drawing back old memories.

"My family's been movin' around since I was little, ya see, it was because my dad was a bodyguard. His boss loved to travel. He brought us with him everywhere he went. When we finally came to Ikebukuro, my mom got hit with a family illness. For awhile, we thought she was gonna get better, but things took a turn for the worse and she passed. It was about two or so years ago when she died... Dad was devastated. He started slacking on the job and nothin' I said to him would help. Eventually I got fed up and left. I didn't spend much time at home anymore. If I'd tried harder to help him out, he might not have suffered the fate he did. That is, killed on the job by some loony after his boss. I wasn't really shaken so much by his death so... A part of me was expecting it all along. His boss wanted to help out, adopt me even, but I refused... I'm an independent kid. My mother never told me, but her family has a special bloodline. Our anscestors ran with wolves, and my mother, as well as myself, still have this power. We aren't werewolves though. Our special ability isn't limited to a full moon and we turn into true wolves. Not larger wolves or some mutated half-breed that they use in horror films."

She chuckled, stretching her arms upward.

"I have canine tendencies in this form too! Like squirrel chasing, hunting, protectiveness, playing around... Everything you'd expect of a real wild animal~"

She flashed him a fanged grin, crossing her arms over her chest. Her eyes stared into his, curious and excited.

"And what about you? I believe ya said you'd tell me your own story, since I don't mind."

Alois smiled sweetly at the girl after hearing her story, it wasnt a usual sob story since most of them were a little harsher then that but it was interesting to listen to.

"Yes I do know some people who have animal bloodline like that, although i've only know a neko type." Alois said taking a quick glance at Nire who was bringing sushi to a couple not far away from them. He sat back against and thought for a moment on where to begin with his story.

"Before i was born my father had left my mother since he didnt want anything to do with a child. It didnt take long for my mother to go broke and have to give me up to an orphange in Tokyo once I was about two years old. She didnt want to deal with the pain of having her child taken away from her considering the comunity we lives in Tokyo was trying to get me taken away from her. the reason for this was she was completely insane, none the less she loved me all the same. They were afraid she might hurt me on accident so before they could take me she moved a few towns over to give me to an orphanage.
As a few months went by the nuns who took care of me started to see me as a devil child, considering I would stalk other children and I had this laugh that was...very unsettling for a four year old. I would do other things but i rather not say what they were since it was so long ago i dont quite remember. Doing research on my mother they found out mental illnesses run in the family as far back as my great grand mother. They wanted what was best for me but considering they didnt have a lot of money they put me in a not so well looked at mental hospital. They obviously didnt do research on this hopsital considering this particular one did exspirements on its paitents.
I was chained to other abandon adults and chilren, depending on what room them put me in for the night. I was put into that hell from a very young age and I only just escaped a few months ago when the police had finally been tipped off about it. I was exspiremented on, raped, beaten, chained to walls, chain to people, sometimes they were alive sometimes they were just a twitching mess from the effects of whatever kind of toxic substance they were injected with. Of course all of this did not help with my mental illenss and I soon enough became completely insane like my mother.
Once i was released i had nothing, my mother i had found out, had died in a mental hospital not to far from where i was. She lived a life of misery without her only child before hanging herself with the bedsheets in her room. My father is now living somewhere in America with a new bride and two children. He is living very well now and is a well known buisness man. So anyway for two weeks i slept in parks and in alleys, my white hair was matted with blood and so was my face after getting beaten by random groups of people. I then tried to end it all by jumping off a building, my head was gushing blood but i was saved by a passing hospital intern named Yukio. I live with him now, he buys me medicine to help me cope with my mental insanity and he treats me like a baby brother. He's all i have now besides a few friends im very lucky to have." Alois said, taking a sip of the tea he had ordered.

Nemon grew quiet as she listened to the boy's story. She knew well that there were many people in the world who suffered more greatly than she had, but something about this child's story in particular seemed to catch in her heart. The fact that he'd been treated as a demon, chained, beaten, and experimented on...It made the girl consider how lucky she was to have escaped most of that torture. Sure, she'd been caught in her canine form by animal control a couple of times and scorned for being such a violent child in school, but that was nothing compared to what this boy had been through.

As she was lost in this thought, she had almost forgotten to question him about what he had said earlier.

"Yes I do know some people who have animal bloodline like that, although i've only know a neko type."

She could've sworn he glanced at their waiter when he said so. If Nire really was what the girl was now assuming him to be, it was no wonder she felt an odd drawing to him when she walked in. Simon sure knew an odd bunch of folks, but that was what Nemon loved about the Russian. He accepted practically anyone who came through his doors. It was nice to have people she could trust.

She smiled to her new companion with an apologetic look in her eyes.

"I'm sorry to hear you've been through so much. For what I am, I've certainly gotten off easy... That Yukio friend of yours sounds like one amazing guy. I'm glad you guys found each other. After all you've gone through, it would be sad if you couldn't live the rest of your life as you wanted. It sounds like he makes you really happy."

Nemon looked down for a few moments, wondering suddenly why she hadn't accepted the adoption proposal from her father's boss. She had no one but her two furry accomplices, and a very limited number of those she could call 'friends'. If fate had been so kind as to offer her a family...why hadn't she taken it? She growled silently to herself. There was no way she could track the man down now. He was probably halfway across the world on business. She had no legal guardian to take care of her and it had been surprisingly more difficult than she'd ever expected. With a sigh, she lifted her eyes to the boy once more.

"Hey...Alois..? I was wondering... You don't mind if I wanna be one of your friends do you? You seem like an awesome guy, and haven't met anybody with a story quite like yours before... It must be nice to have even a few friends in this unforgiving world, aye?"

Alois stared at the girl blankely for a while before letting another strange smile spread across his face.

"I'd love to be your friend..but I should warn you Im not a well liked person. Mostly to the people at Raira Acedemy, my school, but still i wouldnt want you to get attacked or anything. Since when someone becomes my friend they are classified as an outcast as well." Alois said, shrugging as he finished off his sushi.

Nemon smirked and folded her arms behind her head. According to what she heard, it sounded like befriending Alois was going to be even more eventful than she'd first anticipated. In addition, she wondered if he really was in any immediate danger. If there were people after him, she would be sure to lend a hand. But first, she had to find out just exactly how intense the threats were.

"An outcast? Yeah right~ I'm already an outcast as it is. It's not like some additional pressure is really gonna effect me. You and me...we're both cutouts from the world. It's just how fate's chosen to deal with us. There isn't much we can do about it." She turned her head and looked out a nearby window at the people walking by, a thoughtful look in her eyes.

"People like us need to watch out for one another... Whad'ya say? I'm pretty good in fight... If ya ever need any protection, feel free to speak up. I'm always willing. Once a friend, always a friend. Whatever it takes...I'm gonna keep you safe. Got it?"

Alois smiled slightly at the girls words, it was nice haveing another person who would vow to protect him, especially since they had just met.

"That's very kind of you, but i'm a trained figher. Although it would be nice to have some back-up considering they out number me most of the time. Thank you i'll deffinetly ask if i need another set of hands in a fight. Also i could really care less what others think of me, so many people worry about how others think of them and it only leads up to them changeing either their apperance or personality just to meet the status of the people around them. How stupid." Alois said, crossing his arms across his chest and he stared out the window as well, watching the people go by.

Nemon smirked at Alois' response. "Hah. You could say that again. We've got something they don't have - confidence. I bet we could show 'em what we're made of, aye?" She chuckled lightly before catching a glimpse of the time on the wall. The day was quickly wearing away as they sat there talking. It was time the girl started looking for jobs again, that was, unless her new friend had a better idea.

She stretched her arms with a grin and looked at him with a casual gaze. "So, ya got anything goin' on today? If your not busy, I wouldn't mind hangin' out with ya."

Alois thought for a moment and shook his head, he smiled at the neko who had placed the check for his sushi on the table.

"No not really, i was planning to go hang out at the park for a while before going back to my appartment. My Nii-san is taking the night off from work for once so i get to see him tonight." Alois said cheerfully, it was rare that Yukio was able to take the night off so he couldnt wait to go home to his most presiouse person. The albino reached into his wallet and pulled out the yen he needed to pay the check.

"Thank you Alois, and do tell Yukio i said 'hey'." Nire said as he took the money from the smaller male. Alois smiled and nodded at the man before he walked away to put the money inn the cash register.
